About the Site
THE MAGIC OF PICKLEBALL
People of all ages and abilities playing together, the laughter, and the distinctive pop of the ball create a truly unique energy. It’s also surprisingly a great workout for staying active, fit, and healthy. And then there's open play: simply show up, paddle up, and play—no big production.
Somewhere along the way, pickleball became a core part of my lifestyle.

BUILT BY A PLAYER, FOR PLAYERS
This site started with a simple need: I wanted a more focused, streamlined way to find courts along the San Diego coast.
With a career in software and wired for problem-solving, I began to build a prototype that's practical, easy to navigate, and simple to digest. In the process, I also organized important rules and safety info into a quick reference guide for my own use.
When family, friends, and fellow players started asking for the link, it prompted me to build it out with additional resources and publish it. I’m happy to share my work around a sport that has been life-changing for me and so many others.
WHAT GOT ME THINKING
A Mountain of Court Options
As an active player, finding a backup spot or a court away from home can be surprisingly time-consuming. For me, sifting through results mixed in with HOA courts and wide-radius listings isn't much help. I just need a couple of viable options.
A Sea of Gear Choices
The sheer volume of brands, tech, and styles available online can be overwhelming. Rather than navigating endless recommendations, reviews, and trial-and-error, I'd be happy with just a few solid picks to start with.
The Same Q&A on Repeat
Every time family and friends visit from out of town, I get asked: “Where do you play in San Diego?” I love sharing my local favorites, so it just make senses to put them all in one place, where they can browse the same info whenever they want.
Picking up Rules On-the-Fly
When starting out, I jumped in cold and relied on kind players for a few must-know rules as we played. Knowing the basics first makes getting started smoother, more fun, and sets the stage for faster progress.
Learning Safety the Hard Way
Getting hit in the eye by a high-speed ball was a literal “eye-opener” for me—pun intended! That close call motivated me to actively promote responsible dinking.
